THANKS Everyone for the tips!

I checked with Hagerty & they would insure an M35A2 IF it was a '74 or earlier, & has to be garaged, for just $161/yr w standard MI plates, or just $61/yr with Historic MI plates. (I have historic plates on ALMOST ALL of my cars!)

I thought about just "pretending" it is a '74, as they all look pretty much the same... but that would be dishonest....

They also have the "locked garage" requirement. But I doubt they'd be sending anyone out to verify.

I would think that a barn would qualify. Just throw a padlock hasp on the door & call it a day.

I wonder if you went out & bought one of those portable RV "garage-like" covers and then threw a small luggage padlock on the zipper if that would suffice?? (probably would cost more than the M35...)

(The locked garage requirement is pretty vague... probably just a tool for them to be able to deny a theft claim...)


I also checked with my regular insurance agent at State Farm. They wanted to charge me commercial vehicle rates... $300.00 every 6mo w full coverage, $203.00/6mo w/o vehicle coverage.
