Ok updated post 2 with pics of the engine axles and winch assembly I am adding. Still picking up air brake assemblies for the axles with lockers.

Need to order rebuild kit for the NTC 350.

Added pics of the axles post sandblasting pre rebuild and air brake mods. In addition to a couple pics of the heads as the tear down starts. Should have the list of parts I need for rebuild on the engine soon. Axles it looks like they are in great shape inside very very low miles no visible wear at all. Hopefully more pics soon of the locker interiors and assemblies.

Default Adding pics

Added pics of the engine fresh from the machine shop with rebuild kit ready to go.

Started the repairs on the box grinding down the rust and putting on primer for now. Plan on reinforcing and replacing some of the worst parts.

I even thought about putting one of the expandable boxes on the M36a2 / 2.5 ton, before I went with the shiping container sides. I loved the extra room with the slide outs I think almost 12' wide if I am correct. My neibor has freind still in the USMC and said a few of the M36's had them on the back, but the weight was around 8500 lbs for the box. Just a litlle too much weight for me. But after my current build I might need to start another, if the wife gives me permission.

The box weighs in over 6k I know for certain.

The M35 series with the van body was called a M292 I can not find a picture currently. They were completely over loaded and normally used only as range trucks as far as I could find out.

The width of the box with both sides expanded is closer to 14 ft.

Should have more pics today.

14' *20' Is bigger than any room in my house. The camper would give all kinds of elbow room. Quick question. Who do you intend to frame out a bath room with the section of the must fold down and serve as the floor when extended. I thought most slide outs on rv's have the floor of the extension slide out as a unit. Looking forward to the pic. Maybe even a video. Thanks

Default Crane truck assist

Had a delay on getting these pictures from the guys at the shop.

Removed the box from the truck so we could work on both the box and the mechanical stuff at the same time in different locations.

My teenager helping with the tear down bit after school and pics of the amount of rust damage in the side walls at the bottom of the walls.

Bonus of one of my boys showing me what he wants for his birthday.
