Default Mileage on 5 ton and 2 1/2 ton trucks?

I was wondering what kind of mileage say two cargo trucks get? A five ton with a 855 cummins and a 2 1/2 ton with the multifuel engine and what the multifuel gets with different kinds of fuel, Thanks, Ross/Nebraska

Both about the same with in a couple. Diesel will give you best mileage.

I would expect much better mileage with the deuce/multifuel compared with the M809 series.

Off the top of my head close to 6ish running a mix of diesel and UMO with a touch of ATF. But im running 395s on my deuce so im not sure how much it will effect it yet. I was guesstimating from a trip I took the other day mileage divided by fuel used. Captain

Squirt-Truck (M-54-A2) gets 6 MPG at easy crusing, 45 MPH, 5 pushing her at 52-55 MPH, with 24,500# in the bed at cruse she gets 5.5+ with 33.000# in tow (54,160# GCVW) she will do 4.5+ MPG at 45 MPH. She has an LSD-1A that I run at 200+ degrees. I run diesel with 20% waste motor oil.

remember to compare standard truck to standard truck... with loads, the great equalizer.

My deuce gets 10-11 mpg unloaded. My M818 Cummins 250 gets about 6 by itself, maybe 4 mpg pulling this trailer (M971).
