M817 and Abbot tank
Wanted to share some pictures taken during the power pak removal from an Abbot SPG using a M817, these belong to the Viginia Museum of Military Vehicles (VMMV). When I have extra time or in the area I like to volunteer, some times you get to do cool stuff like this.
I would love to own an Abbot, easy to operate, big gun, roomy crew compartment except the driver, small enough to own but still impressive!
Enjoy, Karl

RE: M817 and Abbot tank
Great pictures, Karl, but I was expecting to see some shots of a dump truck pulling out a power-pack
I really need to get over there for a work session sometime. Can you let me know the next time you guys are going to do some wrenching? I'd love to work on a tank
