Auxillary use for power steering pump
Just thinking out loud..........I wonder if it would be possible to tap into the power steering pump (on M818 etc.) for other uses?

RE: Auxillary use for power steering pump
With all the problems I've had with 30 year old plus power steering pumps, I wouldn't do anything to tempt more trouble.

RE: Auxillary use for power steering pump
Good use for P/S pump , I have had one modified for aux. hydraulics on a snow plow.
I used a piggyback pump on the engine oil pump for the power steering.
I could have saved a lot of trouble and time if I had just left the P/S alone, and used the piggyback for the snowplow hydraulics.
