This sweet machine is basically in 'as delivered' condition and usually the fire companies have a tire guy that will put on suggested rubber. Usually a Michelin design or even a Firestone SA Traction DPLX. The company that built this was Long Island Brush Truck...sadly since out of business. That was one of their last trucks. Yanmar diesel in back pushing Hale pump. Note the skidplate up front, it's 1/2" thick. It's a serious rig.

Would you believe there is a company that does nothing but test ex-military vehicles for use in fighting wildfires?

I've seen them around. Check out the guarding they have for the cab...a little light. Long Island Brush Truck was around for a like 20 years and founded by a Fireman that drove trucks in the woods. Every bar is there for a reason.
