That's pretty neat. Wonder if it goes forward and reverse at the same speed.

B-36 Wayne
From the web:
With an empty weight of around 170,000 lbs and a max gross takeoff weight of up to 410,000 lbs (B-36J), some serious muscle was needed to move airplanes. Federal F-55-AF tug is shown towing a B-36. The F-55-AF was a license built version of the Coleman CF-55-AF. Pima Air Museum - Coleman Aircraft Tug

Wow !! There are 2 of those trucks here at Tinker AFB. They have been converted into blast fences for the aircraft doing engine run ups after a plane has gone through depot maintenace !! The name for the trucks are Big Moe and Little Joe !!

See the jeep in the third picture, according to the sign on the board next to F-55, it was a 1941 Ford jeep that was used on the base then sold for 50.00 when the Fairmont Army Airfield was deactivated on 1946. Wayne

I found a Coleman in the woods way back when i was in highschool. It was near the Chester County Prison. I went back to check on it a year later with camera in hand, and it was gone. It was yellow just like the picture and had a 6 cyl engine.

I used to see one of those in Conicville, VA of all places, up the hill a ways behind the store. I never went up close, it was on private property. I always liked the curve of the roof and the overall lines of the cab. Didn't know what it was until now. Love this site.
Wonder if it's still there? Seemed pretty restorable a couple of years ago.
