M939 filter info to share
M939 filter info to share.
This info was a royal pain in the A$$, to research & find.
And I spent a lot of time hitting dead ends, going threw my old parts books. But these ARE the correct #'s
Even Jack @ Cummins N. West, didn't have any of this info??
(they do now)
So to keep someone else, from pulling their hair out.
Kicking the dog/cat, fighting with the war dept.. (wife)
Or, just saying the heck with it, and NOT change the filters.
I hope this makes it easier for the next fella.
Here they are.
AM GENERAL CORP M936 W/ W 5 TON 6X6 WRECKER
Oil and fuel filters#'s
Napa # oil Filter 1954
Napa fuel filter # 3401
Napa transmission filter # ATP17560
Fleetguard oil LF516
Fleetguard fuel FS1201 or FS19553(upgrade)
Fleetguard transmission filter # TF5002
Baldwin oil P999
Baldwin fuel PF316
Note: Always fill the fuel canister with clean fuel, before installing it.
Napa has two Air filters that "KINDA" replace the one original, military part #11604545 (need to use both)
Air filter
Napa #'s
Fil2982 (outer) $ 112.00Napa Fil2982 (outer).jpg
Fil6550 (Inner) $ 154.00 Napa Fil6550.jpg
I have NOT figured these fuel pump filters, out yet.
They "LOOK" like the old Napa #3051 carburetor filters??
Anyone have any ideas??

There should also be a power steering filter. I have some of those, IF I can find them. Wayne

Good job, Chris. I have the A2 spin-on filters listed in my 925A2 thread somewhere. We should merge the info and make it a sticky. I'll work on it.
