Info about M934 needed
Hi,
I am trying to get some info before I buy donor/ base truck.
Looking on
1984 AM General M934 5 Ton 6x6 Expansible Van truck.
Q1: is the transfer case attached to Allison or it is divorced?
Q2: is transfer case air or manual operation?
A: mechanical lever to Hi/Low; air switch for 6x6/4x6 in Hi position; in LOW will engage 6x6 automatically.
Q3: what is axle ratio?
Q4: is van "Expansible Van" worth some think? how much?
Q5: what is the model of Allison?
A: MT564CR
Q6: are the axles "any position axle"?
Please let me know if you have answer(s)
Thanks

Ok, I got this. TM is stends for "technical manual" did some research. came up with Q2 answer: Quote from TM
FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE LOCK-IN SWITCH - A pneumatic switch that permits front-wheel drive
to be engaged when the transfer case is in HIGH position. Operation of switch is not required when transfer case is in LOW position; system will automatically switch into six-wheel drive.
Hmm? So ...
