Newest truck - M51A2
Picked up another MV yesterday. It's a Kaiser M51A2 W/W. Lotta work to be done, but lucky we got it home. The air and fuel filters were clogged up. Take a look at all the mess that came out of the filter housing. I also blew out the air filter and found a couple pounds of "moon sand" as well. The lift pump keeps blowing fuses even after I added an extra ground. I'm just going to install another airtex E8135 pump on it like I have on my deuce. I've swapped the secondary and final fuel filters. I've also got the primary ready to be reinstalled. But I wanted to get the fuel pumped up to the housing first to double check the condition of the fuel a little better. I did dip the tank and the fuel looks nice.
Anyhow, the coolant was nice and green, oil will be changed next as well. Has new batts. I need to install a PTO shaft for the front winch. I also need to do a bit of body work and spray it down with some CARC green. I'm not sure what my plans are with it. I'm not really keen on the dump truck. But it's growing on me. I've thought about pulling the dump setup off and selling it and throwing a M35 bed on it. I've thought about bobbing it as well, but I just like the looks of a 6x6 better. It would be a fine candidate for a knucleboom and flat bed...

I'm going to get it back into driving shape and see if I could find someone to buy it as it sits or trade for a different 5 ton. If it doesn't move by summer I'll start modifying it.

That thing is almost as ugly as your avatar, just kidding, it looks great. Don't cut-up a nice M51, if you need an idea for it's use, I have two words for you:
GUN TRUCK.

I was wondering when I'd start getting grief for my avatar. I use V for my avatar everywhere. I tend to get yelled at by users on my forum about it creeping them out.
Gun truck.... hmmmm...... I could use a Ma Deuce for the collection.
