Spring in MI, 817's at work
817's hauling clay spoils. Spring warm up has made a mess out of the dump site. These are some tough trucks.

Wow, is that at the new battery plant?
They're realy making your trucks work for the money at that site. You'd never be able to accomplish that with a standard dumptruck. Government surplus equipment is a great thing.

Yep, at the LG plant. I had a clutch go out on a truck last Thrs. bought another truck Thrs. night, looked it over and ran it Fri. Parts should be in this week. Each truck has run about 200 hours so far, the clutch is the only major breakdown.

Great video! Was it my old truck that lost the clutch? I just ask because I do not think I saw it in the movie. That should test and find any weak components. I hope you are making money hand over fist in conditions like that. No one is going to replace you without mining trucks.

Nice video! I miss that view as well....oh well I'll be back at it soon!
Question: Do you guys have any problems with the hydraulics when the outside temps get really high (90 degrees +)? We did a big road project this past year with our 3 5-tons, and the 817 I drove kept giving me problems when I went to dump, was really laboring and coughing, fluid levels were good
