M915A1 Engine Oil
OK guys here it is.... The TM calls for OE/HDO 30 NSN 9150-01-178-4726 (1QT), 9150-00-188-9858 (5gal), or 9150-00-189-6729 (55gal) which according to MSDS reports is just SAE30. Is this what you should run or is everybody running 15w40 these days?

I have switched to CO-OP 15w40 though. It has the same specs and is quite a bit cheaper around here.

In addition to Rotella, I also use Mobil Delvac 15W40 and Valvoline 15W40 in my trucks...whichever is on sale. Come to think of it, I have also used Quakerstate and Pennzoil 15W40. All else being equal, though, I like Rotella, too. In my personal opinion, you can't go wrong with a name brand oil.

Everyone will probably disagree, but I run Mobil 1 15w50 in all my diesels. I like them to start in freak snowstorms
