They have moved a lot of stuff out of Aberdeen and the Patton Museum. Museums are being consolidated all over the country.

Funny you should mention that Sir!

From what I understand, this GOER CAME from Aberdeen before it went to NC where I got it from!

OK...let's cease fire for now. I started this thread last night and made one phone call and already I have 2 PMs from Texas, two from VA and one from CA (WillWagner).

I gave WillWagner first shot in the post above so I'm gonna wait and see what he can come up with.
If that falls thru...The Army Transportation Museum in VA has been contacted and we'll see where that goes.

PapaBear, have you considered the South Carolina Military Museum in Columbia, SC? I've been there and they do have a decent setup. I wish I knew someone there that I could put you in touch with, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for you to find out who to talk to.

The best outcome (for the GOER) will be with WW in CA. There's no rust there. Anywhere east coast, it will rust, bad!

So instead of one ocean, he should send it to another? I'm confused, why don't we play it safe and send it to me in Iowa.....no oceans here! Then I can use it as a mobile attraction on my way home to Ohio....lol.:cookoo :

Everyone says the .50cal is the best anti-vehicle gun, but the truth is, if you shoot a .50cal through an engine block, you're not actually going to stop the vehicle, at least not right away. The fluids will leak out and eventually it will stop. But it is not instant by any means. A .338 or even a .300 will do the same thing. No, the best way to stop a vehicle is to shoot the driver. And that can be done with any number of weapons. -Chris Kyle, "American Sniper"
