Default Old 5-ton rear pto I found today in a junkyard.Anyone seen this type before?

I found this old 5 ton truck today in a junkyard in southwest virginia and thought it was kind rare since I had never seen one before. It seems to be a 1945 model and it does have a rear facing pto on it.Has anyone seen one of these before?

The truck is a 4 ton Diamond T. Rear facing PTO would have been for a wrecker.
