i just bought a box for my 818 yaterday and it needs new wood for the seats and such just wondering what kind of wood it is or who has composit slats for this also i was wndering about the protective control box ...bypass ideas or where to get a new one thanx

It's usually oak. If I remember right the original supplier (of composite) is Stephan wood Products. Do a search on here, there's a link with contact info.

Descriptive title, capitalization, sentence structure,spell-check and search before posting.
A simple google search for "M818 protective control box" will get useful results. The first 3 or 4 are SteelSoldiers posts, the next is Jatonka's site, the next the tech manuals,the next, a vendor to buy them new from.

Red or white oak, expensive.
