Sight glass needed
I am in need of some glass tubing or high temp plastic tubing to make a sight glass guage for my wood fired WMO heater. 3/4 or 1/2 inch would be good.
Anybody got something in the scrap pile that would work....I am on a budget.

Look at a farm store. They use a glass insert in the pistol grip syringes on hog farms. Should work fine for a sight glass with a few mods.

How about the glass from one of those universal inline fuel filters they have in the chrome parts setion at national parts houses. Might be too short as its only 2.5 to 3in long.

If you can wait until after Memorial Day, I can snag some from work. I won't be at the other place that has it until May 21st.

Sorry I didn't explain myself better....I was posting from school.
I need a piece about 4 feet long to use to show how much oil is in the tank.
If you have ever see to huge coffee urns they used in the military Mess Halls you know what I'm talking about.

Check with a boiler maker or a supplier. They use what you want as sight glasses on boilers.
