Default Started to filter WMO

Well this is my first attempt at collecting and filtering WMO. I started with a 5 gallon race gas fuel jug and a 6 quart screened funnel. I have been collecting and saving some so far on a very small scale. Finding barrels has been fun, I used to see them all over the place but now that I am looking for them where are they all?...LOL I collect the oil and filter it through the screened funnel first. I then bought 6 filter bags of Ebay ranging from 1 to 100 micron. Then I had to find a way to use the bags without making a tremendous mess. I finally found a 8" heat duct from Home Depot and cut it to 20" in length. I mounted 6 self tapping screws 2 1/2" down from the top to hold the filter bags that I have stacked together finest to course. I then covered the screws with a 1" piece of tubing to keep from tearing the bags or my skin. I went and got another screened funnel to use with the barrel. I set the heat duct with the filter bags into the clean funnel which sets in the barrel. I used the collecting funnel to help with getting the WMO into the filter bags. I will need to find a way to support the tube while in the barrel. The barrel in the pic is just for collecting and storing. I have a barrel that needs welded on for the sight tube, and the drain valve. That barrel will get a heater of some sort and the WMO will be filtered again at least with a new set up with clean bags just like I did here in these pics. Unless I come up with a better idea. Thanks and I hope you enjoy. Jim

Ive started a test on waste oils to see what if anything happens. I have 4 quart Mason jars with mixes of 1/2 WMO / 1/2 WVO, 1/2 WMO / 1/2 Diesel, 1/2 WVO / 1/2 Diesel, 1/3 WMO / 1/3 WVO / 1/3 Diesel. I also mixed some antifreeze with WMO to see if it settled out. All of this was filtered to 1 micron before put into the mason jars. Thanks Jim
