OMG, that is a thing of beauty!! How long have you guys been working on it? I'm guessing that is the show piece for your company products?

Actually, this was kind of a prototype. It was in such bad shape when we got it, that we stopped work on the first machine that we purchased and started on this one. We recieved it in May 2006 and thought there was no way we could make it any worse  Now that we have an idea of what we would do differently,as far as gadgets and details, those changes and upgrades will be on the next one. Look for that project to begin within the next few weeks. Glad you like it!

Here is an interior shot, it is mostly black inside. We have intercom, police radios, cctv, 110vac, etc. The engine cover is custom, as the original was very small and allowed limited access (but we fixed that  )

the digital pixelated camo is good also, because in sufficient density it can appear as noise to a sensor. now that the eye is not always the primary sensor in the battlefield, we move to patterns to trick computer vision systems.

Hey WG, might I suggest a few other things to think about?

A HAM Radio Rig for working with civilians that are helping out during a disaster.

Stowage straps for things that Police are always adding and stowing
Additional lights for inside illumination
A Mount for a Toughbook or other Police computer-setup
An Inverter for running/powering AC powered equipment.
External power connection box for the same (keep the vehicle's batteries charged off of shore power during a standoff)
Back intercom phone on a reel for talking to dismounts while buttoned up.

You might want to pidgeonhole a local police department and see if their SWAT Guys want to help "police" proof the vehicle.

Actually , we have five interior lights, two ac inverters and the tailboard intercom extension and radio interface is supposed to be shipped from CA. today. We are talking with our local SWAT team now. Great idea on the HAM radio, we never even thought of that. But there are lots of things we have seen that we can expand upon since we started this project. One of which is the breaching tool that we will fit to the front of this machine with hydraulic operation...to help with the doors that dont want to open  I am also working with a guy that is trying to help us get a peacekeeper :D . It sucks to run out of money before you run out of ideas, don't it?

See if you can attach the breaching tool to the front towing lugs to make it a quick removal setup. You could also go with a set of specialist kit for bomb disposal as well as other uses.

Think about a universal attachment system, like a 3 point system on tractors but like they used on Churchill AVRE tanks in WWII. Basically a heavy blade with a camera mounted on it for rolling up and dealing with explosives, or setting breaching charges or something. A couple of extra monitor's inside for this sort of thing could be useful if not cheap.

In addition to HAM, think about CB as well. You never know what someone's going to have for radio kit and needs during a 'problem' so more flexibility is better I think. You guys done anything with ferrets yet?

As far as money, well, come up with some plans and drawings you can add as at least ideas for possible customers. Do you guys have rubber track for that so it's more friendly with roads? I wonder if you could get rubber band track for it (quieter!).

Ryan, you are right on about the 3 point hook up. Since the front loops are so far apart, we are leaning toward another mounting arrangement to allow one person the ability to install the unit. We are just letting the cash catch back up with us at the moment, but we are still planning. I wish that I could find the rubber treads in a size easily adapted to this machine, but for the time being we will keep the OEM tracks, as they very lightly mark the asphalt. Even then the rain removes all evidence. Also, I have no experience with any other armor, but I do want a Peacekeeper or V100...but we will have to see about that.

If you guys want to come eyeball a ferret you're welcome to do so. Mine's in pretty good shape, needs a paint job though.

We'll see you then Capt, we have done some work up your way (depends what time of day you hit GA400 as to how long it takes you  ) We just now received the last of the Setcom intercom/radio components, when that gets installed we will need to pick out the DVR and it will be 10-8! We are also getting back on the first M114 that we had pulled away from to finish the camo one.
