They should be 10HP gas engines. We had them on our 5KW generators back in the 80's.

Thanks guys . I pick them up monday . I was hoping for more hp . At least the price was right . When googled I would get the 32 cubic inch model , but not the 42 cubic inch . Just saw the weight, they must be well built .

10 Hp out of 42 cubic inches? Yes, that is quite conservative. You should see at least 15 Hp at 3600 RPM in stock condition. Advance timing 3-5 degrees and run premium gasoline? 20+. Just don't think you can go much faster than 3600 RPM.

I was hoping for around 20hp. I do not need more rpm .I was thinking of making a mud motor for my duck boat .The mud motor engines usually run right at 3600 rpm .So the props that are out there are designed for 3600 . Most of the larger mud motors are in the 20hp range .Neighbor was wanting the other engine for a log splitter .
Thanks for your promising opinion .

Those would make excellent mud boat motors. Your neighbor will probably be able to split giant Redwoods.
