Default 1970 International R1856 US Army fire

hopefully OK to include this rig as its currently in the classifieds.. Wanted to include info and pic's in the Mil Fire truck thread.. no connection w/ seller or unit for sale..info only..

This truck spent most of its life at the US Army Rocky Mountain Arsenal outside of Denver. It was then transferred to the Oklahoma Forestry Department.
Engine is the Red Diamond RD-501 six cylinder 501 cubic inch monster engine. 4 barrel Holly 2140G carb.

Description provided on ebay auction page:Fire and Parade ready. Unusual condition 1954 M135 GMC 6x6 with winch. Recent paint and rubber. 750 Gal 120 GPM 2 pumps all required hoses, fittings, tools, etc. Forest Service/BLM Certified 4 sirens 4 flashers, lightbar,oscilating headlights, 1700 miles Ready for action.

Here is a view of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, 1969 International-Fire Truck Inc. pumper while in service. Rig was equipped with a 750 gpm pump and carried 300 gals of water.

On a related note...THIS truck was just taken OOS in a tiny town in my fire district, and returned to us (state forestry). It is a ex-army pumper...cool to compare to the other 68 internationals on here! Not sure where this vehicle served in the military.
