Default M1008 spindle remove/replace

Please check my procedure.
1-remove wheel
2-remove locker assembly
3-remove caliper and secure with wire
4-remove 2 axle nuts and tab washer
5-remove 6nuts and lock washers from nuckle
6-remove spindle and associated bearings, rotor,
parts as a complete assembly
7-pull out axle shaft assembly

Can I do this, or am I missing something?
I would like to be able to do this so I can change out the kingpin, bushings, and bearings now,
and change out the wheel bearings and seals at another time. I have to do this on the street in front of my house, so I can't have my truck non operational for more than 12 hours at a time. I am partially disabled so I am not as fast as the rest of you are.

Thanks,
Bruce

if you dont have a spindle puller and slide hammer i would suggest you try to rent one or you may have some difficulty removing the spiddle, if one is not availible a block of wood and a hammer will work but hard and time consuming. good luck

Actually, the spindle hangs over the knuckle in one spot, which offers plenty of room to tap with a hammer. Once you get it to move a little, you can work it back and forth to get it off. It shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 minutes.

Thanks! The TM mentions a puller kit and banging on it with a plastic hammer.

life will be much easier with a hub nut socket, trust me! Also, I have never EVER seen a bad kingpin, they are a pain to replace, so make sure its bad before you remove it, i know that they are torqued down extremely tight.
