I got a NAP A/C installed a while ago, and instead of reloacating the blackout switches, the shop that I had do the install work just left the last vent open behind the dash. Right now it's just taped off, but I'd like to locate it somewhere near where it would go without the switches. My solution is to install a separate vent, and I'd really like to use a "frog eye" vent like is commonly found on airplanes. Anyone know where I could find one?
Ford used one on the Areostar mid size van. I had a 1995 with side A/C it is located just behind the drivers seat for the passenger sitting right behind the driver. its on the wall piller mid height. I'm not talking about the overhead vents. Its about chest level.
You can get them from www.aircraftspruce.com or www.wagaero.com . Any aircraft homebuilder supply should have some different ones available, just stay away from certified aircraft parts - the cost is easily tripled for the same item.
They came in the FJ60 Land Cruisers. I have a few laying around I'll mail you. They would probably work.
