Just a friendly reminder to all who have Gasser M35s that have been converted to Multis and still have the early style mounts(the ones that mount to the plate on the front of the engine, not the ones that bolt directly to the side of the block). Be sure and ck the 2 bolts each side that attach the mounts to the engine, found 1 of mine missing the nut and the other hanging on by a thread tonight during a "post trip" inspection. The mount was actually resting on the engine front cover!!Not sure of the damage yet,But PLEASE!!!,If you don't already,ck these bolts frequently, thats all that holds the engine to the mounts on these particular trucks.
"Post trip" inspection? Was there a hint of something being out of wack?
Loose engine mounts can cause it to hit the steering gear box, not much clearance there.
