Jim i bought mine from my fire dept. The red paint on yours brings back memories. We abused mine for a brush truck for years. You've got a great looking truck!

Nice looking Deuce, You was brave going through the city, I would have been terrified in NY on my first drive home. I haven't driven a Deuce in 30 years when I got mine, and I got my buddy to drive it through the heavy part of town before I took over, He drives military vehicles all the time. He's an Maintance Instructure in the Guard and we were in town where I bought it. I could have done it but I wanted to get the feel of her before diving in.

Well I had about 30 miles or so to pracctice before inadvertantly getting dumped into the city, I tell you ,I could write a book for all that went on just in the city portion of the trip alone. I have seen double parked cars before but on some of the streets they park 3 to 4 wide (blocking the whole street) Nothing really suprises me any more, but it was a thrill I wished at the time the guys from work where sitting on the troop seats because half of them did not belive me even about getting a deuce let alone getting lost.
