Default Looking for a deuce tractor

I'm on the hunt for a deuce tractor somewhere on the west side of the country, anyone know where one is?

Next question is, once I find one, what should I look for outside of the normal deuce stuff?

Since it's a tractor, do you need a CDL to move it around (without a trailer) or would I be ok without one?

Any other tips, tricks, or advice?

Thanks
Joe

Shoot. you're in the wrong side of the country. I don't know if its still there, but there was a Deuce tractor I drove by in the western part of Columbia County, New York, this summer. I think it was 10 minutes up 9H or 9G from Dutchess County. All I know is that it was at some parking lot, looked like a farmers market, and I was on my way from Rhinebeck to Olana, but didn't think to stop and look.. (Frederic Church's Home, a phenomenal sight.)

Deuce tractors are scarce. Best thing is buy a Deuce and take bed off and add 5ft wheel and add accs. Supply and demand!! good luck Phil

There are plenty of M818s out there which are a little newer and 5 tons why not look for one of those instead?

I looked at a m275a1? That was for sale in Nebraska last summer. It had no title then but the guy called me later and said he had gotten a nebraska title for it. It has a heater, nonturbo multifuel no airshift front end,no winch, incorrect fifth wheel, correct fuel tank, air hoses missing, hardtop, runs and stops, no significant rust, correct correct frame. I will find his phone this weekend.

If you like the multi-fuel engine that's in the deuce, but want a tractor too, then the M52 is the truck for you!

With all of the M818s on GL right now, it's elementary.

(I'm really trying to talk myself into getting one!)
