[4]Hey Dan! Absolutely no problems with pulling only one axle as long as the intermediate drive shaft is still in place. In theory, if you were to remove one axleshaft and the intermediate drive shaft, the entire rotation would be absorbed by the spiders and that could create a problem. The major reason for pulling the intermediate shaft or one rear axle is to alleviate interaxle conflict of rollout. As far as covering the hole I use one of the splined flanges that I remove from the front axle. They bolt right on with the same bolts![/4]

[4]Well gang, here's about the only pic I took thats worth posting. You can see my tractor with the M447C trailer on the back and Wayne's M816 wrecker that we used to load generators. Also back in the background you can see his M151A2. Between the mountains of HMMWV doors and troop seat, and more trailers than I can count, Wayne has quite a bit of goodies on hand. As usual I couldn't leave his place without some parting gifts. I'm pleased to announce that I'm the proud new owner of a genuine pick mattock for my pioneer tool rack. Now all I need is an axe. [/4]
