Theh old ones are round and the newer ones are kind of flattened out when you look them is the only difference I know of.

Check with Alex at www.idahomotorpool.com he has over 40 deuces and 5-tons in stock, plus a tank, and other vehicles at any given time. Plus LOTS of spare parts!

The diameter is different also they can't lay flat against the bumper. If I was home I could post a pic.

Is there a specific year that the change took place, (to 1")? If the year is undefined, what would be the problem in using the 1" mounts and lift rings?
