Default Electric Engine Oil Pump?

Has anyone had any luck using a separate 24 volt engine oil pump to pre-pressurize the engine before starting? I believe I saw a U-tube video on it. I would like to keep my m35a2 looking as original as possible, while still protecting this new rebuilt engine.
