Default Winches interchangeable?

Here's a complete newbie question for you.

Are the winches and winch bumpers typically found on 5 ton and 2.5 ton trucks the same or interchangeable? (and then there's the pto parts and controls too?)

My expectation is that trucks with winches probably get a real premium over those without ~and I may have a line on parts but think it's an 813 truck.

Thanks.

From what I've heard the winches off of a five ton can be made to fit on a Deuce. However I think that it requires some modification. I do not have experiance on the subject, but I remember someone bringing this up not too long ago.

Right gimp, you can make it work but they are not interchangeable.

Yeah, probably have to trade the pto and driveshaft for a deuce one and then swap the winch's drive input from pass to driver's side. I'm sure there is more, but I haven't done it.
