This is my first GL auction, and it does seem like they want it to be my last. I'd just like to explain what's happened so far and see if I'm missing something here.
For some reason, GL does not want to believe I live in my apartment. I won a pair of M1009's on 12/4, and I initially emailed in my EUC late on 12/5. Apparently, GL didn't get that email, so I resent the form and scans of my license on 12/8.
On 12/10, I heard from an EUC specialist requesting that I send in an export letter. Fair enough, I should have realized I needed to send it based on threads here on SS, although I still don't recall seeing the export letter even mentioned on GL. I send in the letter shortly after I got to work the next morning.
On 12/12, the same GL EUC rep tells me that they can't verify my address. I've lived here for over 2 years and use this address for absolutely everything, but somehow GL doesn't believe me. I suppose it could have something to do with my DL having the change-of-address sticker on the back with my old address on the front, which is exactly according to NJ Motor Vehicle Commission's policies. I responded by sending in digital scans of my vehicle registration cards for my other trucks, which show my name and address quite clearly on the State issued documents.
Today I was told that vehicle registrations apparently don't count as Government issued documentation. Supposedly I need something from the Social Secutity Administration or the IRS, neither of which tends to mail me all that much documentation during the course of the average year. I've sent back a list of what I have available, and I'm waiting for a reply to find out what if anything GL thinks they will like.
What has really annoyed me about this process is the fact that every email I've received from GL about my EUC has been sent after 5pm EST. Since I leave work (and therefore end my daily access to a fax machine and/or a scanner) at around 4:15pm, getting information shortly after I get home does nothing but stretch out the process even longer. I suppose over the next few days I'll see one of two things happen. Either GL will believe that I really do live in the apartment that I'm currently posting from, or I'll look forward to a very large reversal of a charge on my credit card. At this point, I'm not entirely sure which I'm hoping for.
I use a photo copy of my home phone bill as additional proof of where I live. Talk to GL about a home phone bill.

Apparently in my case, "Utility bills are not acceptable." Add in the fact that I haven't had a traditional landline phone for years and I guess that won't work. I'll see if they want some of these various letters from various federal government bodies. Maybe they'll like one of them, or maybe I'll be telling stories one day about how I almost bought a couple of ex-Army trucks.
The GL EUC specialist office is in Scottsdale, Arizona so when you get an email at say 5:30pm it's just 3:30pm where the EUC office is. Go to a Kinkos for scanning/fax service after work if necessary.
jersey, do you get your Social Security statement? I think they mail it out to you around your birthday every year or so.
Maybe that would work?

Keep in mind, its not a GL request for this verification. They are doing their job of making sure you have the proper documentation in order... so that it doesnt get bounced farther down the line.
While they say a utility bill is unacceptable, I would suggest rounding up as many things as you can with your address on it. Safety in numbers!!

I know I placed the blame squarely on GL and they probably didn't deserve that. I just let myself get a little frustrated. I'll see what they say today. I do have a Social Security Statement from last December, but it was unfortunately sent to the wrong address (street number 2 instead of 22). I'm just lucky that my letter carrier even got it to me. That Statement is one of 3 items I've offered up to GL, so maybe one of them will be acceptable.
Utility bills really aren't the greatest solution for me come **** or high water. Like I posted earlier, I don't have a landline phone and only count on my cell phone. Also, my electric company lists me as living on a nearby street, which happens to be about 80 yards long and completly devoid of any houses. My gas bill is correct, but I don't trust a gas company that hasn't managed to actually read my meter since I moved in 27 or 28 months ago (they tried last year on 3 consecutive days and decided that they couldn't find it).
Thanks for the tip about Arizona. I guess because of all the talk about Florida titles being issued to some customers, I assumed that's where they were located.
WHAT!!!?, I can vote with a utility bill here.....
Floyd went through a similar problem, and eventually lost his trucks....
Maybe he can give you some pointers....
I hope you get your trucks!

Here in NJ, a utility bill counts as 1 point in our 6-point ID system for renewing a Driver's License. That sentence was a direct quote from one of the GL emails to me though, specifically the one that prompted me to send them my vehicle registration cards.
