A friend of mine lives near Lexington, KY. He said he was out near Avon, KY (Bluegrass Army Depot area). He told me that there is a field off Ware Road where there are hundreds of military trucks, trailers, Humvees, etc all lined up. I looked on the GL site and I didn't see any upcoming auctions in Kentucky. Anybody have any ideas? I asked him to take some pictures, but since they are located so close to BGAD, he wasn't comfortable doing that.

The military has storage yards everywhere. Drive around Ft Riley and there are yards full of Deuce's, 800 series, and 900 series.

Not to mention that they ( the govt. ) seem to move trucks around on a whim.

Most vehicles are being sent to regional sales sites (such as Redstone in Ala) on the taxpayers dime.
This allows an unnamed on line auction company to maximize it's profit by not manning the storage sites.
I have bought trucks from Redstone and sold them to people up north that lived close to the Nat Guard unit the truck was assigned to.....go figure.
