No More "Ooops" - paint fixed!
Ok, I'm in the home stretch... here is the M1026 with the paint corrected from the mistake a couple of weeks ago...

Looks better. The wreath is a nice touch.

You guys are gonna love this... So I used the truck all weekend with much enjoyment and a lot of stares. No hic-cups, kids crawling all over it at the parade, etc. On Sunday its time to head home (100 miles) about 15 miles from the house I find myself unable to easily steer left or right and the brakes are not responding well (on I-10) - turns out I threw all 4 belts and likely did more than that. Evidently 70+ miles per hour is NOT a good idea on a trip - particularly turning a 200 amp alternator.
My mechanic is both annoyed and thrilled. Here is a (bad) picture of the HMMWV going onto the flatbed for the ride back to my house...

Yeah - things haven't changed all that much, still not a good idea - just no SGT around to keep me in line!
