Anybody out there have a sugestion on what type of primer is best for troop seat wood? I plan to use the same enamel I used on the truck. Can I use the same primer? The primer I'm using is a red oxide primer (napa brand) and the enamel OD is Gillespie from Rapco.

I'd assume use an outdoor wood primer... a couple coats of that then sand and slap the Gillespie down on top of that.

Should I be concerned about what type of wood primer I use? Are all wood primers compatible with OD enamel?
