Default M38A1 M170 Pics Vietnam

Looking for photos with M38A1 M170 Vietnam 1960 to1970 in combat 0PS. Wanted to know if gun mounts were used ect. Heard they were used as ammo carriers or 6 man troop carriers. A guy in our VFW post was in Pleiku and was with a transport group. He said they were used for convoy escorts and had twin M60's mounted in the back. I would like to keep the old girl as close to real as possible. Any info would be greatly app. thank's Greg.

M170 was used as a battlefield ambulance , some were used as airfield taxis. There are not two many of these truck around. If its all original , it would be best too keep it that way.

I also would love to see pics. I have looked for quite a while and the only non-ambulance (when when in service) pics I have found were of one being used as a flight line taxi.

I did find some pics of one working as a flight line taxi for a naval aviation detachment in vietnam.

and this radio set up pic is from the manual
