Just had to get my hands on it ater being gone for so long.
Drilled and rivieted the dash plates back in last night - also cut in the new muffler. Reason for a little high on the stack is that I can still catch the stock stack clamp bracket - I will 2 stage a muffler guard building this on site - the touch up with the Rapco ordered 383 woodland green substitute. Paint should be in next week. Rain cap on top of the stack and cut the curved sectioin out.001.jpg

I wish my 109 project was going as quickly as yours is. I have two things slowing me down. Arthritis and money. Hopefully I can get going on it hard next spring.

Sarge - if there is anything I can do to help - pm me.

It took almost 2 gallons - entire underside chassis is completed as well.
I have 2 gallons Rapo coming to paint the accessories.
Here is the #2 unit dash tags riveted on tonight.
Added some pics of stuff in the garage to install

I do have an Onan 4kw generator which is the Genset Emerald with the updated ignition for sale. I just had it gone over with the gen and tuned up so it is ready to install - I will also toss in the switch to control the auto start from inside. This was in the RV and I had it gone over and was going to install it - BUT - (you knew there was one coming) in the pic - the yellow one I picked up brand new for $50.00 and I am making a change my build (#1) with this unit.

I do have 3 gallons of truck bed liner coating that will be sprayed to the underside of the box as well here within the next couple days.
will add pics to a second post of things that are to be installed - zoom in and check em out (the gen set is in these pics)

Got the units both pm serviced today - buddy got his batteries changed out with the Exide Series. Got the spare racks removed and getting the xtra fuel tank mount brackets lined up at this time.
Garage looks just as full.
Have to work on the upper exhaust guards tomorrow for both units and the fuel tanks.
Hope ya enjoy pics of the drivers seat we installed in his unit - mine is still in the garage buried in parts - it is an air seat and all it needs it the squirt of air just to stiffen it up. Ran this as secondary air to the seat air line - with an in line air line filter.

we have some permanent down tractors so I found the best of the bunch for by buddy - cleaned all the grease off them with a product we use and it cleans them like brand new (does not replace fabric of course) but cleans them great.
FREE was the price on the seats - have the matching passenger one to go in.

If you have a junk yard around for semi trucks - these came out of a VNL64T Volvo 2001. The fit is awesome. Have them in place and going to use the tractors seat belt system as well. Going to weld the seat bases to the floor.
Have mine laying around somewhere in the back of the garage - just brought another van load home from his garage that I was storing there along with my Miller mig and torches.

My spare assembly is removed and going to work on the brackets tomorrow and hopefully get my tank at least mounted and the additional guard made for the upper muffler so when the paint comes we can shoot them.
Can't wait to get started inside

Well - my buddy had to work today and got time to play around with the fuel tank add on. Have identical tanks so what gets done to 1 - is duplicated to the other.

Tank brackets need to be dropped down to the next hole as I am 3 inches tall - but dang it all - just had to slip it up there to get a glimpse of the future.

Used the bed liner coating on top of the fenders and bumper top - this is going to get re-sprayed once the paint gets here from Rapco anyhow - just wanted to toughen that area up.

The frame slip bracket (keeps bed in line and centered) will be replaced with a mount that comes off the rear tank mount bracket - wanted to get both tank brackets up against the frame and solid without having to shim anything.

For members that have done this before - YES I did check behind the frame rails before drilling these large gaping hole - those lines will get tied down to the bolts from the brackets.
Got a late start on my day of today as the wife had a short list that needed done before I played - besides it was 37 degree's out this morning and I dislike working with gloves on.
