I'll post the zerts & tool tomorrow when it is light out and I am down there working on them - also take a pic of the finished install.
The smaller tool available is just an additional crimper to a hand rivet gun for smaller threaded zerts in place of a rivet insert.
You guys got it going. Keep it up as I'm getting ideas for my. Looks like I may be waiting still next spring to do more work on mine. The weather is getting colder, and we've been getting quite a bit of rain here. Wish I had a shed to put it in, so I could tinker all winter long. I'm really enjoying this thread. Thanks alot!
srocker - That is a full capacity of 60 - it is listed to run 52 gallons in it - correct diesel unit. We do have 100 gallon each aluminum tanks with hold down straps that will eventually get mounted in the trailers. We started looking at the 4 ton units with duals (forgot the name of them)(flatbeds) that way we can built onto them what we want out of them.
The owner of #2 is the man in the picture - he is very low on mechanical skills or fabricating - so I have been doing almost all the work till this point with his assistance only on Sundays when he can make it over.
It is getting cold here as well - but not like anywhere else but it is still cold and had been raining almost all the time as well.
I have not really looked at the clutch system - but #2 needs the clutch adjusted bad.
Try to get my unit full pm'd today and probably dig the 2 full cab heater systems out and get started on them.
This way I can get them both turned around and then the FUN starts of the interior build. My garage is at the bottom on the drive about 100 yards from the house and the only near flat spot down there is where #2 is parked.
We are looking for at least a 4 or up KW diesel generator and if interested will trade 2 gasers for it - on is a brand new Mculough new and the other is a rebuilt Onan 4 kw Emerald - this one I had the brushes and armature and carb gone through on.
The crimpers have a gauge on the side how thick of a material you are crimping - so you get a tight crimp without crushing or not getting the crimp tight and making the zert just spin in the hole.
You set the threaded knob on the crimper to get your crimp
Then screw the threaded zert on upside down so the tools threaded section just comes flush with the end of your zert - too far threaded it crushed the zert - not threaded enough - does not crimp. These are threaded on with the handles spread open - because with you pull them together it is pulling the upper section of the zert (that is not threaded) crushing this into your material.
Crushed zert comes flush with your material is your zert is chosen correctly - the size of the top of the zert can be a larger diameter or larger as well - same of what I used it included.
Center punch your holes on center correctly - use the right drill bit - crimp proplery and you have a very clean installation.
I used Silopreme caulk to put some around the zert tip where crushed and also a little on the bolts threads - obvious reasons just to be xtra cautious.
couple other pics added also that did not fit here so you could see it all.

Check out the product called simple spray and they have a web site to watch a demo video (picture of the can in the above post) - I knew someone would bring up NON GREEN seats and I got way ahead of the game - beat ya to it - these will be Hunter Green as that is the closest they had - s-w-e-e-t.
