Default Radio Mount?

I picked up a M35A2 yesterday and it has this under the seat with some sort of speaker on the floor and a antenna mount. Is this for a radio or laptop? If so which model.

Any help would be great.

Nick

With all due respect sir, that is not an MT1029. That is the newer version. I think it is an MT6352.
The difference is the vertical cable terminals facing up. The MT1029 only has them underneath. The MT6352 works with the newer VIC-3 too.
It is for the newer SATCOM stuff.

oops...whenever I say SATCOM, I really mean SINGARS. My bad. They are in fact two different things.

So I only get 1/2 credit.
I have noticed those are starting to infiltrate the market. More and more are showing up at swap meets, etc.
I have thought about getting a time-proper vehicle and doing a comm-rig with the newer stuff. The problem is Uncle Sam has tightend up on most of the components. The mounts, antennas, cables, and brackets are available...but the actual comm stuff is pretty hard to get. Still too new.
