Default Repair of The Worm

Finally got enough time to start tearing into my bent pinzgauer this weekend.

I got all the bent up sheet metal and the doors off.

Kinda reminds me of a really big M274 mule. Glad you're bringing her back from the injured list....

Amazingly I thought it looked like a big Mule myself.

It looks a lot smaller this way too!!

HEEE YAAA ,MULE! sorry Reminds me of a John Wayne movie! Is the frame bent or just the bolt on parts? Where do you find pieces for a Pinz?

Leave it that way, looks good. Put a roll bar on it and there you go.

Inquiring (naa just plain nosey) minds want to know...what happened?
Did someone tag you or was it just a case of "nut loose behind steering wheel"?

If you look under the Pinzgauer section, the thread on "what to check on a pinz" sort of became my "how to roll a pinz down the interstate" thread.

In short, I had cleaned all the mud and sand out of the brake drums after the first annual Florida MV Round up. (pics under the events thread) and didnt' get the driver's front lug nuts tight enough.
So they, and the front tire left me at 65 MPH on I-10. After three and a half revolutions on the median we have the first picture of this thread.

Thus begins the long road to recovery.

Chuck
