We have a conversation forum for something like that but once you throw politics in the mix, the place gets polarized real quick like. Folks just can't help it so it's better to do it off site. Feel free to PM with members all you like about politics.

Polarized. That's a nice way to phrase it.....

We are also concerned with the reputation of the hobby.

One guy doesn't keep his truck in tip top shape and kills somebody and all of a sudden there is a lot of outside interest in the hobby. You don't want people coming and and seeing the sort of hyper overheated rhetoric that the interent typically applies to political discussion.

This I am wrong? Look at all the attention DUKW's got when that one sunk in Arkansas.......

I am about as far right as they come, but I agree with how Chris runs his site. And it is his site. Once we start Ford/Chevy, Obama/Mccain, or 223/308 debates, it drives us apart rather than together. There are plenty of sites where i can express my beliefs and right wing views. Here we chat and share info about GL, MV's and us getting together to meet in person (so we can bitch in person about Ford/Chevy, Obama/Mccain, or 223/308 debates)Welcome to this site and probably the most friendly and helpful bunch i have ever met. On or off line. ATD

Good thought Ronbo. On that note, I could add sports bikes vs. Harleys.

This debate has no solid answer. Further research is required.

military vehicle supersite. lets not get away from that. there are other websites for random thoughts and opinions. i think its getting to the point where people are just posting everything on here. they gave us a great place to meet, converse, buy/sell and research military vehicles. sorry, just my thought, rob
