The SCMVCC is planning a trip down route 66..well what is left of it...staying on as much of the original road as possible, from the AMVETS post in Irwindale, out to the Inland Empire and the final destination of Calico for an overnighter. Anyone interested, please PM me so we can exchange contact info and I can bring you up to speed. There will be vehicles ranging from WWII jeeps, scout cars to 2 1/2 tons and hopefully larger trucks. One of the guys who will be going is Saul Marquez in his MB dressed out in Brittish WWII Africa campaign colors. He is driving the same jeep he drove on the MVPA Lincoln Highway trip. He shipped it out to DC and drove it the whole way back with no failures! There were some pics posted here and he was in them!

Target date is May 1 & 2, 2010 for the 66 drive and the end of Tower Pk week is the Camp Dirtbag trip at Stoddard Valley.
