So i know this may be hard without pics yet but a friend of mine has what looks to be an old 1/2 ton weapons carrier with warn lockout hubs dual rear wheels and a pto driven hydraulic dump bed that has a delivery date of 1941? The rear axle is centered as well.
Where the heck would you even find brake drums for these old things? I have seen the pads but drums seem to be non existent?
Is there a civilian rig that has the same brakes?
Also what trannsmission does this thing have in it if it is a 1/2 ton wc?
What other engines will bolt right up to it besides the straight 6 series of engines?
Well Pics would help alot also know what kind of truck and who made it. Chevy made some 4X4 dump trucks but they were bigger than 1/2ton I think they were 1 1/2 ton.
