Anyone in SPOKANE w/ SLAVE?

Is there anyone in SPOKANE , WA that can possibly
help w/ a slave start? I am not sure if I need a slave
jump or not, will not know till I am there. I expect
nothing for free. I could need a jump as early as
tomorrow 1-18-13, just after noon. I have slave
cables and I have a 2-1 slave adaptor too. I am close
to the airport.

Repeat, I expect nothing for free...

Based on the thread title, I would say "No. Not since 1865 anyway."

If you get in a bind, and no one can jump you, just stop by WalMart and pick up two $75 batteries. They'll start it if it is only a weak battery issue, and it sounds like you may need at least one anyway.

Totally agree. Wouldn't be good to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere with weak batteries.

I wouldn't know how to wire it...

For two batteries:
Hook the positive cable (from truck) to the positive of battery A. Hook the negative (from truck) to the the negative of battery B. Now take the remaining - terminal of battery A and hook it up to the + terminal of battery B. Yes, you hook the negative from battery A to the positive of battery B. This will give you a 24 volt system

Simply replace one battery at a time. Pretty hard to screw that one up.

LOL! Oh man................ I so wish i had a photographic memory! ( like U DH)

I have read 1/2 way thru the -10 manual, maybe 10% of that has sunk in. That is all. MAYBE 10%

The rest of the time I am busy w/ my business, my home and mortage
and all my "other" toys of which I surpassed 100 wheels on the ground when
I purchased my M925A1 ! ( PS< I am POOR! LOL )

Electricity and Directions...I suck at these tasks, but I will tackle
ANY physics type plumbing problem and whip it but good...go figure...

Don't try to "memorize" the information in the TM's, try to remember where the information is. I'll see if I can't find a battery box drawing for a 5 ton. I don't claim to know where everything is in the TM's, but I don't give up when I crack the first book and the information I'm looking for is not in there (not directed toward you). Numerous informative items I run across, I'll save to a file, just like that battery drawing I posted for you.

Electric and water both follow the path of least resistence

Do you know how to read 12vdc on a multimeter or voltmeter? If so, read each individual battery, and just replace the one, or ones, that read less then 10.5 volts.
Very likely it has a bad cell in it pulling the other batteries down.

not sure you still need help. I am near the Spokane airport and I have a Gamma Goat with the slave receptacle and I,m an electrician... PM if I can be of service...

I think I would have faked a dead battery just to see your Goat! HA!

Actually the truck started right up after sitting for 2+ months w/ the

night prior temp's at "7". I THANK YOU for your reply.
