Does anybody have pictures an under dash A/C evaporator installed in their CUCV? I have looked at many A/C threads but I haven't been able to find pictures of what the under dash evaporator looks like when its installed.

I beleive the evaporator is actually on the outside of the firewall. you still have the heater core inside but you have to cut a larger hole in the firewall because the air flows through the firewall and back to get to the evaporator. You just have more ductwork inside. The heater core box is different and the heater core itself is different between AC and no AC.

I have the complete HVAC system that I removed from an 87 suburban in boxes in my storage. I am going to install the rear AC from the burb in my 1009 one of these days.

My last post was referring to the stock HVAC system. you can go to classic air or there are some other places where you can get a non-factory system that does have an internal fan and evaporator inside. These types of systems require holes in your floor to run the drain lines to the outside from the evaporator. There is one that is almost the same as the rear hvac unit that would be found in a stock suburban, that fits under the dash
