CUCV diag plug?

What in the world is the plug (diagnostic) i think in the cab on the bottom of the dash, Sry i just got the truck two days ago and am still learning it. Allso why is the glow plug mod in the cab next to it? im moving it some were out of the way later in the week.

The diagnostic plug is for the STE/ICE diagnosic tool. It is a very early attempt to troubleshoot a system. Since most people don't have the test unit the plug just look cool.

the two "cards" next to the plug are the tach buffer and the diagnostic resistor board. The GP controller card is next to the steering column.

Awsome thanks, and for the sticky. I looked at and saved all of them. I agree it looks cool but i have no use in any of it so out it comes, i like it simple.

Suggested reading. TM 9-2320-289-10. It's the operators manual and very helpful in the wee dark when no one is on SS. Free downloads everywhere.

I think i down loaded that, its been crazy the past few days, but i should kick back and read some of the army's good'ol 8th grade leval literature. Very imformative but mind numbing.
