I want to have bumper markings on the front of my truck for the local Army National Guard Unit, the 3rd Batt., 116th Inf. Reg, 29th Inf Div. What would be a proper bumper nomenclature for this unit? I would think:

29ID 3-116

Correct?

Okay, got the stencils ordered today. Bumper markings reflect a vehicle from the Virginia Army National Guard, 29th Infantry Division, 3rd Battalion of the 116th Infantry Regiment, Bravo Company, vehicle #12.

maddawg, I doubt that anyone would notice, (but) medics actually belong to HQ Company and are assigned to the line companies. I have this itch in the back of my mind that says that the ambulance would actually have HHC numbers for the vehicle (HHC12, rather than B12) - anyone have an ambulance with the bumper markings on it?

'dawg, ran across some current bumper markings for some ambulances the other day. Photo of one attached, the other was wrecked and I couldn't get a shot but it was HQ28.

This armory happens to be 2nd Battalion, 113th Regiment of the 42nd Infantry Division at Riverdale, NJ

However, as I said .. most people won't have a clue no matter what you put on it ... except for the occasional PITA that you will run across from time to time.

How about some photos of the project!

Heck you will put mud on it anyway when you go into combat to pick up our wounded so what difference does it make. I would stencil your name on the window to indicate you are the driver and I am sure your daughter would get a kick out of being stenciled in as the assistant driver on the other window. Tell her I said hi and when I get back from Korea I will try to bring her something.
