stuck top bow

Here's another problem I'm running into with my M101a1: the front top bow, left side is STUCK. I can't pound it out, it doesn't budge. I tried bracing up a bottle jack under it and jacking it out - that worked on the right side just fine, but no go on the left. Screws through the wood & metal end pieces are seized. Any tips for removing this confounded bow? I'm thinking this screw would be harder to drill out as it goes through the wood.

Try some good rust gitter, Strong Arm, Liquid Wrench, WD-40, etc. Let it sit, give it a few good smacks with a hammer and back it up with another hammer when you do.

you can use an impact driver on the screws after soaking with penetrant. and a little lheat from a Bernzomatic...They are a standard hardware item...(the screws) and then when replacing use the neverseize...
