yes, i'm a rookie! and this has most likely been beat into the ground. can some one tell me how the two alternators work. i start my blazer up and both gen. lights stay on,and the gauge shows nothing. after a few min. the # 1 light go's out and the gauge is working.after driving a few mils. the second light go's out . is this normal :hop:

Sounds like the idle speed is low. Normal starting procedure is to wack the throttle to "kick" the alternators in charge mode.
