winch for sale

Hi all,
My neighbor came over and said he has a winch from an "Army truck" for sale.
He didn't know what M number or any info, but, said it was a 1.25 ton all
wheel drive.
He scrapped the truck some time ago, and, forgot he still has the winch with
old cable, and one end of the drive shaft. It looks to be about 12" dia.
drum, 1/2" cable. He has the bumper and frame ends with it.
He said he'd like a few hundred bucks. I told him I had no idea how much
it's worth, so, I'd post here and see if anyone can help and or wants it.
He said it worked good when he took it off the truck.

Sounds like a Braden LU-4 off an M715 if he has his details correct.

I posted some pics on the photo gallery.
I see M02A, or MU2A, can't tell.
for model number? I have a pic of what seems data stamped on it.......

left sidebar 'manuals and doc' does not list the MU2A. It usually has the obsolete stuff. Maybe check mod again. Here are the[unspecified] materials lists and spec sheets.The former has great cut away and exploded diagrams the latter lots of,well, specs(duh).

I need an AHLU2-10F-RA. This has a 3-1/2 x[approx]10 inch wide drum. Flanges need to measure 8 inch OD. Hydraulic drive, RH assy... It's available only $2370 retail, but some dealer may offer a healthy discount off that. I'd like to find something close. Yours is mechanical, has drive on wrong side and flanges look to big OD.Might be intrested if the drum is 8inch and the housing's drive can be altered to other side. JimK
