m1078 2.5 ton with lsac cab

Is it true that lsac cab for the m1078 degrades its load carrying ability to the point were its mostly used as a troop transport.

I also heard of the tipping problem but I heard a guy made a counter balance system to fix it in the field.

I know on the 1088A1 the ride was so bad bobbed tailed with the armored cab they added a huge cast iron block that hangs off the rear of the frame to act as a counter weight.
