High oil pressure

I have recently bought a m35a2d and I noticed the oil pressure ran high.
I assumed the Gauge was broken and was going to replace it as I don't drive it often I wasn't worried about it immediately. I drove across town and as I came home and parked it the oil pressure drop to 60PSI and I realize the gauge work I turn off the engine and 3 qt of oil came out of the oil filter. It normally ran at 120 which i know is way too high and is why I thought the gauge was not functioning properly.

Does anyone have know what would cause the oil pressure to be so high ?

There are 2 different gauges and sender units that were used. if miss-matched, you'll get loe or high readings.

You can read the sender unit to see which one it is.
